2025 MRA South Toy Run Hobart – November the 9th 2025

This year for the 46th MRA South Toy Run we will be running the event on Sunday the 9th of November 2025 when there is available space for us in Salamanca!

We are aiming to leave MyState Arena at 12:30pm to allow northern riders to ride down in the morning, and time to ride back up in the afternoon.

The end location is the huge forecourt of Princes Wharf 1 in Salamanca Hobart, opposite the Parliamentary Gardens, where the Salvation Army will be collecting donations for those less fortunate before Xmas 2025!

MyState arena will be open in the morning for people to gather leading up to the start time and will be open for food and bathroom facilities.

MRA South will be selling tshirts, hats and bear badges to cover our costs, every year the Toy Run costs thousands in traffic control, insurance and advertising!, so if you see us around please have a chat and support us!

Traffic Interruptions:

Roads entering onto the Brooker Highway from MyState Arena to the waterfront at Salamanca will be closed to public traffic starting from 12:30pm to 1pm while the motorcycle convoy is moving and reopening ASAP once the convoy has passed.

For safety reasons road closures will interrupt the Salamanca waterfront area from 11:30am until 3pm (reopening ASAP once the motorcycles have all parked at PW1). Vehicle access will be limited or unavailable during that time, so please find alternatives if you need to leave or enter the area during that time. Local traffic will be allowed through up until 12:30pm.

Disruption to traffic could occur from 11:30pm-3pm on these roads on the waterfront:
● Evans Street: Exit west into Hobart: Road closure from 12:30pm until road clears after 1pm
● Davey Street: Disruptions to traffic in Left Hand Lanes
● Elizabeth Street (from Davey to Morrison): Road closure from 11:30pm until road clears after 1pm
● Morrison Street: Road closure from 11:30pm until road clears after 1pm
● Murray Street (from Davey to Morrison): Road closure from 11:30pm until road clear after 1pm
● Gladstone Street: Road closure from 11:30pm until road clears after 2pm
● Castray Esplanade: Road closure from 11:30pm until road clears after 2pm
